Today I was determined to have a better one and Sean promised to at least try and see the kids before bed time. After I dropped Michael off at school I ran over to Gap to see if they had these jeans (because remember I am trying to break out of the skinny rut) in store. Score, they did! Go pick Michael up and find out he was the "hitter" today and could not keep his hands to himself. Go home and while having pep talk with the "hitter" I try on the jeans. They were about 8 inches too long. Duh. How could I have missed that tiny itty bitty "t" on the tag. Grrr. I bought Talls. Note, I am not tall. Call store to see if they truly do have my size (with out a "t" on it, please) before I take two wiggly children to the mall. The girl confirms they have them (The ones with the tab on the waist? Yep, the ones with the tab on the waist) and places a hold for me.
I run over 'real quick' and don't even get out the stroller since I am only exchanging - don't even have to look in the racks! Note, foreshadowing here. Get up to the counter and - can ya guess what happens next? Wrong style. A few computer clicks later reveals that they DON'T have my size in store. I was about to rip my hair out, oh wait, Griffin was doing that for me. Sigh. Mix in the nice experience of the girl giving my receipt away to another customer she had to help while waiting on hold searching for my jeans. Thankfully we realized this before the other customer got out of the store. At least they have them at a somewhat near by store (that I tried to drive to until both kids zonked out in their car seats) and are on hold for me when I feel like making a third trip to the Gap.
Have you ever had this happen? I posted on Twitter that I had a bad experience... maybe Gap will respond. Heck, if they had them in stock online I would have gotten them there AND gotten the 25% promo they are running online. I am never a complainer - I don't even send back food in a restaurant - but this was frustrating!

Ack, what a nightmare! Those are some seriously cute jeans though. They may just be worth all the trouble!

Do they happen to be this pair that Linda wore? Because I WANT THOSE.
